Directions – From the Inn, turn right onto US127 north to Bluegrass Parkway east. Follow Bluegrass Parkway east to U.S. 60. Follow U.S. 60 to New Circle Road north. From New Circle Road, Newtown Pike north to I-75 to the Kentucky Horse Park. The Kentucky Horse Park is approximately 42 miles from Beaumont Inn bed and breakfast.
Located in nearby Lexington, Kentucky, the heart of the Bluegrass, the Kentucky Horse Park is a working horse farm with 1,200 acres surrounded by 30 miles of white plank fencing. Nearly one million tourists, horse enthusiasts and school children visit the Kentucky Horse Park every year, and all are welcomed to the park in the Visitor Information Center. The Visitor Information Center is the home of our wide-screen exclusive presentation in surround sound, “Thou Shall Fly Without Wings”, shown throughout the day. This award-winning 23-minute film serves as an introduction to the fascinating world of the horse to which the park is dedicated .
The excitement of the racetrack and showring is brought to life by the elite group of champion horses that reside at the park’s Hall of Champions. Here Thoroughbred legends Cigar and John Henry, champion American Saddlebred CH Gypsy Supreme, and Standardbred Pacers Western Dreamer and Staying Together are shown in daily presentations.
